As a bit of background, I grew up in the Homer area and have made my home here. I have always been intrigued by photography, ever since my parents bought me an inexpensive film camera for my 10th birthday. As I grew older, and discovered digital, my photography improved. It was not until about 2008 that I really started to seriously look into photography. However, it was not until Spring 2009 that I finally started to understand what really makes a photograph great and how to play with the settings on my camera. I started experimenting and learning from all the resources available online to teach me.
